I use Gas Buddy to locate fueling stations and check up to date prices. After wishing that someone would create a PROPANE BUDDY app, I recently realized that propane service is listed in the AMENITIES for every station. Unfortunately it does not indicate whether they fill small (20lb) tanks, fixed tanks on RVs or simply trade small tanks. However, knowing which stations have propane allows me to call the station and ask about specific services. This has been invaluable during our travels across British Columbia in the summer of 2023.
