Change waypoint color/shape

The map is currently showing all the points I've added to my itinerary. It doesn't matter if they have been routed or not. They are all on my map - big bulky blue dots. They creates a lot of visual noise and clutters the map. I need to be able to change the map view to only display routed or potential stops that I chose. Sometimes seeing them all on the map is also convenient - but is there a way to change the size and color of mapped waypoints? It will give a better comprehension of what I've already planned and what I potentially can incorporate into my route. At this moment, the round blue icons are too large and bulky and overlap each other which make them almost useless. The map is cluttered and planning are more difficult and less pleasant due to it.

the circled numbers for the stops are fine, but it would be better if they had icons (eg sleeping, fuel, etc), or at least colors

This would be very useful. RVLife does this very well.

I would like to be able to color code the map markers. Even just one optional color to mark overnight stops.

I think putting an identifying icon inside the black waypoint indicator would be a good option. I would have a hard time trying to remember what kind of shape or color indicates which type of waypoint

I would like to color code way points for my trips, such as: National Parks, State Parks, restaurants, family/friends, optional stop if time allows, historic, overnight stay, etc. so I can visually grasp what stops are where without having to click on way points I don't remember.
