I would like to be able to export to a spreadsheet to
- plan number of days to stay at a location
- estimate hotel room and food cost
- plan maximum number of miles to travel for each day

Yes please!! I have to do double entry because this is a nice initial planning tool but Excel lets me store more useful information , do automatic date calculations, roll up costs, etc.

Absolutely helpful, I used an Exell table for my trip planning and had to rewrite everything

It is also much more convenient to have a one-line itinerary and navigation. It could even be a quick way to get to a detailed time-and-date itinerary (though with a lot of extra work in Excel), which is the only thing keeping me from switching to this a my preferred planner. I add speed at each leg, average speed for the day, total miles for the date, day of the week as well as date, plus open hours (e.g. M-F 9-5), reservations made by, date, confirmation number, website and cost of each stop.
