"Though the feature available through downloaded maps within Roadtrippers can be useful in some usages, the ultimate scenario / workflow that can be extremely useful is a full blown supports like this:
- For each defined trip, the app will enable simple click to download Google Maps along the entire route
- Once that's completed the Google Maps are persisted in the phone storage
- From this app Roadtrippers, users simply click "Navigate" Google Map will takeover using the locally persisted Google Maps"

Exactly right, cell coverage is not available in many places, especially when you get into some back country. Fortunately I have GAIA GPS Pro so can export the waypoints from Roadtripper to GAIA GPS and then use their app for continuous navigation and offline modes. But it's a little inconvenient and would be much better if Roadtripper had a seamless hand-off from waypoint planning to navigation, on or offline.

Download offline maps for “YOUR” trip

It’s got to allow you to download an offline version of ‘your’ trip not just the trips it has prebuilt. Lots of places via National Forrest’s and Parks don’t have cell service so you can’t select your next navigation point and you end up stuck.
