Option to route via scenic routes instead of most efficient route

While there are times I just want to get to my next waypoint the fastest way, sometimes I want to route from point A to point B via the most scenic route possible. It would be great if Roadtrippers collected scenic routes and gave users an option to toggle between most efficient route or scenic route between waypoints.

They used to have an option under motor steering wheel to take certain scenic routes, they should add byways and things again

I would like to choose my route as a Scenic National Parkway or Road. To travel the Natchez Parkway, I'm having to trick it. The roadways I would like to see are:
Historic Scenic Byway, Natchez Trace Parkway
Scenic Drives, Big Bend National Park
Scenic Drive, Capitol Reef National Park
Historic Rim Rock Drive, Colorado National Monument
Going to the Sun Road, Glacier National Park
Scenic By-Ways, Missouri National Recreational River
Historic Route 66, Petrified Forest National Park
Scenic Drives, Rocky Mountain National Park
Generals Highway, Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks
Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park

Google Maps will snap you off a planned scenic route without warning. I want a reliable scenic navigation and suggested detour paths.

I thank you for reporting this report of mine. The problem during my trip on Route 66 I solved it by putting many waypoints. This unfortunately implies having to use many POIs which not only decreases the number of those available, then also disrupts the reading of the trip itself

It seems to me this would be one of the primary reasons to take a road trip. Why isn't this already on option?

I agree completely. I use google maps to find a route off the interstate by selecting bicycle

YES. I had to manually enter waypoints to force the rp to stay on the scenic routes. It keeps jumping to fastest route. Not to mention the time it took to research scenic options using other sites & apps. I’m surprised that this isn’t a feature!

I agree. There are Trip Guides that you can copy (TAKE THIS TRIP) but they may contain a number of stops you might not want (I suspect they could be deleted?) and seem to contain much more information than just a route. Those are certainly of value as well.
However, a simplistic approach could be something like this. A number of websites have trips like - "Most Scenic Drive in each State", "Most Scenic Drives in America", etc. It would be swell if routes like that were loaded on Roadtrippers - created by staff or submitted for review/approval by users and made available to copy. Users could then edit as desired.
Here's an idea to motivate folks - if a user submits a route that is accepted and "published", maybe they could get a year of free Roadtrippers Plus - or something (maybe just credit/recognition?).
